Walmart is looking for a Big Data Architect – Analytics in San Bruno, CA. The post states, “@WalmartLabs Platform Analytics team is focused on building frameworks that correlate multiple data sources to create consumable data sets for end users. We are looking to build a small team of engineers focused on creating views on top of structured and non-structured data and presenting that data in a portal framework. The team will initially focus on data mining and data visualization using the latest in open source data mining / data presentation technology. The primary data source will come from real user monitoring (RUM), which will include: page performance, session information, conversion detail, product view rates, purchase funnel, bounce and exit rates, demographic segmentation, campaign performance, SEO performance and more.”
Qualifications include the following: “2 years experience developing using J2EE technologies such as Servlet/JSP/Filters, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, JMX, RMI, Java Web Services, or related skill. 2 years experience with Eclipse or other IDE development tools. 1 year experience developing with web/app containers such as Web Logic, Web Sphere, Apache/Tomcat, Jboss or related skill. 2 years experience developing using relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL. 6 years experience developing using PL/SQL. 6 years experience developing using Java technologies on a large Ecommerce website. 2 years experience writing multi-threaded high performance applications and workflow. 6 years experience developing Order/Inventory management applications/ EDI systems. 2 years experience developing with a multi-tenant or “Software-as-a-Service” (SaaS) ecommerce application.”
