Six3 Systems is looking for a Big Data Software Engineer in Fulton, MD. According to the post, “Six3 Systems CESG is seeking a big data software engineer to join our big data team. The position involves engineering software solutions across all tiers of the enterprise software stack (i.e., data, middle, and web tier) in order to extract, transform, and load large datasets into cloud environments… We take a holistic approach to problem solving and provide integrated, extensible solutions in the areas of cyber security, cloud computing, research and prototype development, big data analytics, as well as enterprise system design, development, and deployment. It continues, “Responsibilities include full life-cycle application development, identification and evaluation of new technologies, and development of analytics. In addition, candidates will work in a team environment where prototyping, developing, testing, and deployment of big data software solutions are fast-paced and rapid reaction to customer needs is expected using agile development procedures. Activities may include: design, code and debug applications in various software languages; software analysis and review; requirements analysis; identification of code metrics; system risk analysis; software reliability analysis; object-oriented design and analysis (OOD and OOA); software modeling and simulation.”
