Limelight Networks is looking for an Analytics/Big Data Software Engineer in Seattle, WA. The post states, “The Limelight Network Video Platform Solutions team delivers millions of hours of video per month and we are looking for a Analytics / Big Data Software Engineer that will help us manage and analyze our rapidly growing usage dataset. You will be working with a team of A-players to extract cool insights, reports and products from our data trove. Your responsibilities will include: designing and implementing reliable systems that can process massive data sets and scale 100x; leveraging cloud computing, distributed storage, NoSQL, MapReduce and other state of the art Big Data systems to build cutting edge analytics tools; generating elegant reports and other business intelligence insights our customers will love.”
Qualifications include the following: “Have 5+ years of experience in the software industry. Have strong skills in a modern Object Oriented language (Java, C++, C#, etc). Have built highly scalable and fault tolerant systems. Deep exposure to server/service design, messaging/queueing sytem and caching. Have experience with designing and deploying large scale distributed data processing systems. And possess a BA/BS degree in a relevant field. Experience with Hadoop/MapReduce and other related technologies such as Cascading. Have worked with a database system (MySQL, Postgre SQL, Oracle, etc).”
