Compete is looking for a Data Software Engineer in Boston, MA. According to the post, “You will be focused on creating software and solutions for Compete’s data pipeline. Working within the Data and Research group, on the Data Operations team, this position requires the ability to be a critical thinker, creative problem solver and dedicated team member who likes to work in an innovative environment. The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with large data volumes and a track record of creative problem solving and innovation in a data pipeline.”
Qualifications for the position include the following: “3+ years of software development experience; specifically working with big data. Strong Python experience. Excellent UNIX skills, including shell scripting. Knowledge of new emerging data technologies a plus (e.g. Hadoop). Knowledge of Agile/Scrum a plus. Data analysis experience. Basic knowledge of statistics and mathematic principles.”
