PepsiCo is looking for a Data/Statistical Modeler in Plano, TX. According to the post, “The position supports BIS Innovation team’s exploration into the emerging technology area of Big Data Analytics. We are looking for a Data / Statistical Modeler experienced in Sales and Marketing analytics within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. This person should have a broad and deep understanding of the CPG business with specific expertise in creating statistical models that can provide the following: price elasticity curves, ‘lift’ coefficients and ‘drivers’, econometric models and cannibalization/ incremental models.”
Qualifications for the position include the following: ” Demonstrated working knowledge of statistical tools such as SAS, SPSS, ‘R’, etc. Experience with large-scale data processing, data structure optimization and scalability of algorithms a plus. Experience using complex SQL programming for data analysis. Strong programming skills in Object Oriented language such as C++, Java or similar language. Experience with popular open source distributed database platforms such as Hadoop and MapReduce a plus. Experience with natural language processing, lexical analysis and semantic processing, social network analytics a plus.”
