Resonate is looking for a Hadoop Developer in Reston, VA. According to the post, “As a Hadoop Developer you will help move our platform to the next level. You’ll be working as part of a skilled, collaborative team to jointly design and implement high visibility applications. This is an IDEAL job if you are an engineer with 0-12 years of experience who wants to be part of a small, intensely skilled team, feels total ownership of your work, and can’t imagine a day without coding. You will play a crucial role in the Resonate ‘Values Targeting’ platform and everything you do will matter. Resonate is a dynamic online advertising start-up offering the only Values Targeting platform. This platform is the proprietary, patent-pending technology that drives Resonate’s Values Targeting.”
Qualifications for the position include: “0-12 years of experience developing applications with big data needs. Solid understanding of the needs of high volume web applications. Professional, on the job experience with using MapReduce to solve real world scaling problems. Professional experience with NoSQL solutions to solve real world scaling problems. While experience with any MR/NoSQL is required, experience specifically with Hadoop and Hbase is a strong plus. Experience in digital media, online advertising, or reporting/analytical applications. Experience working on systems that handle high volumes of data (hundreds of TB). Experience implementing applications that use extensive statistical or optimization technology. Experience implementing machine learning. Experience with large scale SQL databases is a strong plus.”
