Apple is looking for a Hadoop Manager in Santa Clara, CA. The post states, "Apple GBI (Global Business Intelligence) team is embarking on Big Data, which involves development of new features, frameworks on Big Data along with subsequent roll out and deployment. This is a massive undertaking and involves in addition to technical challenges, planning and program management challenges. Qualifications for the position include the following: "Experience managing large programs in planning, delivery and execution. Experience co-coordinating across multiple teams. At least 10 years of experience in project / program management. Management of small Agile teams for rapid code development (Pig UDFs, Hadoop Dev/Ops Utilities, Data Import/Export functions). Experience in managing real world big data deployments including, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Hbase, etc. At least 10 years of experience in managing teams. Proficiency in Project planning tools, Agile methodology. Good documentation skill, able to multitask. Managing multiple teams across multiple time zones and geographies."
