Nuance Communications is looking for a Principal Software Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities of the position include the following: “Design, development and maintenance of Clinical Document Repository Search Application using Nuance Natural Language Processing technology (Nuance CLU) and other inbuilt or 3rd party resources. Design and implement scalable, robust and reliable indexing and search application using 3rd party big data technology and Nuance developed applications. Contribute and lead to the design and development of such technology if needed. Architect and develop applications including User Interface development, business logic layer. Contribute in design of Data model for Big Data systems Lead software development of assigned project components interpreting requirements effectively and collaborating with cross functional team members including internal Nuance teams as well as 3rd party development partner teams.”
Qualifications include: “5+ years of software development experience using object oriented programming language (Java, C# or C++). Java experience required. C# and/or C++ experience a plus. Must have 5 plus years of UI development. HTML4, JavaSript, CSS3 required. HTML5 preferred. Proficient with leading RDBMS systems such as Oracle or SQL Server. Experience working in Agile teams. Experience with operating systems such as Windows, & Linux. Comfortable being part of a team, especially geographically dispersed team. Experience developing Healthcare Information technology applications a plus. Motivated to be a self starter and individual performer effectively contributing to overall team productivity and collaboration.”
