Build complex algorithms that implement state of the art analytics on Hadoop. Own the full lifecycle of big feature development, from definition, design, implementation, and testing. Be an advocate for development best practices in the organization, and bring in knowledge of new technologies to the team.”
Qualifications include the following: “5+ years of software development experience. Expert Java and network programming skills. Excellent working knowledge of the Java ecosystem including the JDK and commons API. Experience with UI development preferably in Swing and SWT. Good knowledge of distributed systems, and building reliable and fault tolerant software. Experience with the Unix environment (Linux/FreeBSD). Excellent communication skills. BS/MS in computer science or related field. Experience developing applications on NetBeans RCP or Eclipse RCP. Knowledge of Hadoop and MapReduce. Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem including Hive, Pig, and HBase.”
