Amazon Web Service’s Kumo Development Team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Seattle, WA. According to the post, “AWS Kumo development team is working on 4 different, green field projects including customer facing applications. The space lends itself to be cutting edge and intellectually stimulating as we are tackling new boundaries in the cloud computing space. Some of the challenges facing the team are in big data, social apps, machine learning and data mining. We are filing for multiple patents in this area and has room for lot more to be filed. You will be surrounded by people that are wickedly smart and passionate about cloud computing. The team is a part of a self-standing P&L group with the ability to drive both Free Cash Flow and world class customer experience.”
Qualifications for the position include the following: “Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. The technical skills required for this role include 1+ years of strong object-oriented design and programming in Java or C++. Understanding and experience with web based technologies is essential. These may include HTML, HTTP, Javascript, JSON, AJAX, apache, tomcat. System Design. Experience working pragmatically under deadlines with operational software is highly desired. Project management experience.”
