Twitter is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager in San Francisco, CA. The post states, “Come be a catalyst in the Technical Program Management team; we are the central nervous system that allows Twitter Engineering to thrive and scale. As a Sr. TPM, you will be responsible for driving the future of Twitter’s storage infrastructure and leading cross-functional initiatives with internal engineering customers. The ideal candidate has a bias for action and can deliver in an agile environment.” The role includes: “Lead functional and technical delivery of key team-, org-, and company-wide initiatives. Develop and ensure adoption of agile best practices to simplify project delivery. Partner with all stakeholders in a program and manage execution from concept to ship.”
Preferred qualifications for the position include: “Masters degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline. Background in Big Data, MapReduce, ETL, Business Intelligence, or Data Warehousing. Working knowledge and past experience with RDBMS or Hadoop stacks. Familiarity with data querying and analysis languages (SQL, Pig). Experience with agile software development methodologies and productivity tools. Hands-on development experience with highly-available, scalable software and services. Strong track record of shipping products with broad customer impact. Proven ability to identify and resolve systemic issues. Interest and capacity to mentor TPMs and foster growth. Active Twitter usage and a fascination with bird names would be feathers in your cap.”
