We are looking for conference sessions, tutorials, lightning talks, and panels. There are opportunities for case studies, research reports, practical experience, product sessions, and more.
We are actively seeking people to share their experiences and solutions in the area of Semantic Technologies. The topics we are looking to cover include:
- Case Studies/Use Cases
- Linked Data
- Enterprise Semantics
- Business Intelligence and Analytics
- Big Data
- Content Management
- Context/Sentiment Analysis
- Developing Semantic Software
- Industry and Business Trends
- Product/Service Available Now
- Product/Service Under Development
- Semantic Information Architecture
- Social Networks
- Text Analysis
This is by no means a comprehensive list, and we welcome all proposals.
The first SemTechBiz conference (then called "STC '05") took place in the spring of 2005 at the Stanford Court Hotel in San Francisco. That initial audience was largely comprised of people from academia who were looking to commercialize Semantic Technologies, and a few early adopters and vendors. In the past ten years, we have seen incredible growth and adoption of Semantic Technologies. Enterprise-grade tools and services continue to improve and there are more of them. Organizations have deployed Semantic Technologies into production environments, resulting in demonstrated value, new revenue, lower costs, mitigated risks, and innovative solutions to business problems. Growing sectors and vertical markets include Financial Services, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Government, Energy, the Internet of Things, Publishing, Marketing, Advertising, Retail and eCommerce. As the growth trajectory continues, SemTechBiz is the best place to participate in the conversation.
Co-location with NoSQL Now!
For the first time, the 2014 SemTechBiz event will be co-located with DATAVERSITY's NoSQL Now! Conference. Tony Shaw, CEO of DATAVERSITY said, "These two communities are a natural fit. Managers and developers just want the best solutions for their business needs, especially in exciting new application areas that need bigger and smarter data. So they’re often turning to NoSQL and Semantic technologies – and often combining the two. This was the perfect time to bring these two vibrant conference communities together."
