George Washington University is looking for an Assistant Vice President of Business Intelligence Services in Washington, DC. According to the post, “Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the AVP will assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with the communicated and prioritized needs of the business. This individual will partner with the functional areas to implement projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems. The AVP will also lead the integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.”
Qualifications for the position include: “Bachelor’s or higher degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Ten years in the Information Technology field, and at least five years of direct Business Intelligence technical experience working with a myriad of BI tools and systems with a preference higher education environment that reflects the scale and complexity of a top-tier research university. Candidates from the corporate and healthcare arenas will also be considered. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of database and data warehouse structures. Strong leadership skills and an ability to engender trust, respect, and credibility from others. An excellent communicator and a team builder who has strong interpersonal capabilities. Demonstrated track record of hiring, managing, and mentoring staff members.”
