According to the post, “A successful candidate will develop and maintain the Firm data architecture for a complex distributed database environment; participate in data architecture, analysis, and design, focusing on and leading the areas of data migration and data integration architecture; act as the primary advocate of data modeling methods and data architecture standards and best practices; scope of data architecture includes operational data store design, master data management, reference data management, database administration, data security management, metadata management, data warehousing, and data integration; and participate in defining overall data architectures for custom business applications.”
Qualifications include the following: “Experience with data/information architecture modeling techniques including conceptual, logical and physical data/information model design. Ability to articulate the difference between common data/information architecture patterns and the advantages and disadvantages of each, and apply each appropriately. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and facilitate in requirements gathering sessions. Demonstrated proven track record of delivering on responsibilities and tasks. Highly adaptive with an ability to organize, coordinate, and execute on details. Familiarity with the concepts of master data management, data warehousing, and data integration (ETL) techniques. Experience with developing databases using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008 tool suite (core database engine, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Integration Services).”
