Turner Broadcasting is looking for a Data Governance Manager in Atlanta, GA. According to the post, “A strong data governance framework is critical to ensuring that Turner s audience data is managed as a strategic asset and in a manner that provides Turner business and research teams with access to accurate & timely data for decision-making. The Data Governance Manager is a new role in our Data Strategy and Audience Insights team. Primarily a data governance program manager and change management expert, this role is the main coordinator of how we make decisions regarding our data sources. The role will create a top-down approach to data governance and data quality, including instantiation of a new governance council, through to the implementation of those decisions.”
Qualifications for the position include: “At least 8 years combined technical and functional business experience, with a minimum of 5 years data experience working in data warehousing, ad networks, web analytics, CRM or related data-centric activity. Must have a track record of implementing and running a data governance program within a large corporation. At least 3 years of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated results over large data processes using process improvement frameworks such as Six Sigma. Green or Black Belt Six Sigma certified preferred. Understanding of large scale data processes and systems, including web analytics, ads, and data warehouse systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and set or negotiate priorities.”
