Yahoo! is looking for a Data Governance Manager in Sunnyvale, CA. According to the post, the company is looking for someone “to join the Privacy, Trust & Safety team. The team is a dynamic organization responsible for build user trust in Yahoo!. As a member of the Privacy, Trust, & Safety team, you will be the operational lead to guide global data policy development and implementation across Yahoo! You will use your operational focus balanced with strategic thought, tactical planning, and hands-on effort to envision, develop, and manage initiatives to completion. This role reports to the Vice President of Privacy & Data Governance.”
It continues, “The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working within large organizations across multiple teams to achieve common goals taking all perspectives into account while driving to collection objectives. You must demonstrate a deep and broad understanding of internet technologies (HTML, JavaScript), database structures, and the product development process. You are familiar familiarity with general privacy and legal structures surrounding data relationships with third-parties. You can distill very complex issues into straightforward, easy to understand recommendations that can be conveyed both in writing and verbally. “
