Stanford University is looking for a Data Governance Manager for its Office of Institutional Research and Decision Support: “The Data Governance Manager (DGM) will create and lead Stanford’s data governance program. The DGM works within the Business Intelligence Competency Center and reports to the BI Program Manager. This position requires a unique combination of business, technology, and interpersonal skills.”
The post continues, “The Data Governance Manager will develop and administer the data governance process at Stanford, managing all governance issues across Stanford’s many Administrative systems, databases, and organizations. This position is responsible for establishing, improving, monitoring, and Training others in the data management and data quality processes and programs for Stanford. The DGM will work with data stewards and technical staff to ensure data is collected, stored, shared and reported in an accurate manner and according to the needs of the University. This position will also be responsible for seeking out program, process and technological improvements/innovations that will (1) foster improved data quality and reporting; (2) eliminate redundancies and create consistency; and (3) improve the reliability, accuracy, and confidence in Stanford’s information.”
