Merkle, Inc. is searching for a Director of Business Intelligence in Columbia, MD. According to the post, this position is responsible for the following: “Define vision, strategy, standards and BI roadmap for the company. Design and develop automated BI solutions for the company. Work closely with business stakeholders to develop guiding principles and best practices for determining which BI tools will be to be used. Function as the product owner for one or more BI products including Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, and Tableau. Develop and maintain vendor relationships. Identify best practices for BI services methodology. Accountable for the BI budget and management of licenses.”
Qualifications for the position include: “Extensive expertise and/or demonstrated experience with business intelligence tools. Strong knowledge of reporting, analytics, and metrics. Strong understanding of Data Warehouse architecture. Strong financial management skills; able to manage a budget effectively. Ability to effectively plan and manage at the strategic and operational levels. Excellent consultative, communication and interpersonal skills. Extensive experience leading and managing a high performing team.”
