Wolters Kluwer is looking for a Director of Data Governance in Phoenix, AZ. According to the post, “This newly created position will be accountable to define, direct and manage ongoing Governance and Compliance activities, with a focus on preemptive and proactive governance in the areas of regulatory and contractual compliance, data sensitivity, information privacy & security policies / procedures / standards / processes, data access management, data & metadata architecture, and data quality standards. Will manage a team of approximately 6 Data Architects, Data Access Specialists and Data Governance Analysts. Reports to Sr. Director, Business Development, Governance and Compliance.”
Responsibilities of the position include, “Drive the overall design, development, implementation, and application of the data governance and compliance program to establish a formal approach to managing data assets through protocols, rules, policies and practices that ensure availability, accessibility, quality, consistency, audit-ability, and security of data within and across the organization. Direct and facilitate the development of enterprise data access management and compliance policies, standards, and practices to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual access requirements and restrictions. Research, monitor, evaluate, and enforce compliance requirements.”
