McAfee is looking for a Director of Database Operations in Santa Clara, CA, or Plano, TX. According to the post, “The Director of Database Operations is responsible for leading a technical team of database administrators running the most critical enterprise systems for McAfee. He/she will oversee the production operations of more than 700 databases and related ecosystems. The team will partner closely with application specialists and architects to drive data quality and performance. The leader must evangelize best practices and drive effective operations management best practices cross-functionally and with business partners.”
It continues, “This position will report to the Vice President of IT Operations. The scope of the role also includes managing an aggressive portfolio of database engineering deliverables stemming from a dozens of IT projects. The Database Operations Director must also be proactive at influencing and documenting IT strategies for data replication, disaster recovery, ETL, user segmentation, workload management, data modelling, platform standards, and data governance.”
