The New York City Department of Education is looking for a Director of Enterprise Data Quality in New York, NY. This position “serves as a member of the leadership team responsible for developing a long-term plan for a data quality initiative. This includes defining business-oriented goals, liaising closely with business managers and users to understand their needs, recommending technology tools to assist in data quality improvement, and developing key metrics that will clearly help to determine whether Division of Instructional and Information Technology (DIIT) is meeting its goals in improving the overall state of the Department of Education’s (DOE) data quality. Performs related work.”
Responsibilities of the position include: “Develops recommendations for, and advises the Deputy CIO, Enterprise Data Strategy on a broad range of complex strategic, managerial and logistical issues. Develops formal policies and procedures to ensure data consistency, data standardization, data reuse, and data exchange at the DOE. Participates with senior staff in strategic planning, policy development and problem resolution of complex issues and needs. Provides strategic leadership for the creation of a data governance policy and framework for the DOE in collaboration with high level business leaders. Establishes and maintains an effective liaison between DIIT and other DOE divisions to maintain strong and responsive relationships focused on customer-service, accountability and efficiency.”
