Glasshouse is looking for an Enterprise Architect – Data Center Services, a largely travel-based position. According to the post, “This senior-level delivery professional will possess subject matter as well as hands-on technical expertise in developing and delivering large, complex data center consulting projects at the Director-level or above with focus upon data center consolidations, moves, migrations, design/architecture, virtualization and storage best practice. The role combines engineering, infrastructure architecture and daily operations expertise into a comprehensive technical solutions role. As a GlassHouse Enterprise Architect, you will develop and deliver solutions and services that are designed to augment our client organizations’ existing data center practices to improve overall service delivery, reduce operational costs, and mitigate operational risks.”
Qualifications include the following: “Extensive experience delivering complex professional services engagements with a focus on data center services and technologies. Expertise will extend across the following; Unix (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris), Wintel Servers, Mainframe, Virtualization Technology Skills (VMware), Windows Operating Systems, Networking/Telecomm (Cisco), Storage-SAN/NAS (EMC, Hitachi, NetApp), MQ, SOA, Utility Computing, Directory Services (LDAP, Active Directory). Ability to sell and deliver work to high client satisfaction levels. Extensive experience providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) as related to all aspects of data center environments and operational technologies including systems and server/storage hardware; able to solve complex technical and business issues. Ability to travel extensively (75-100% domestic travel).”
