Symantec is looking for an Enterprise Data Architect in Mountain View, CA. According to the post, “The role is responsible for creation and oversight of conceptual, logical, and physical database designs that support business objectives. Document the data eco-system and provide recommendations as required by key project initiatives and define overall road map. Develop and maintain Data Governance initiatives, Data models, Data architecture, Data element naming standards and metadata standards. Data Dictionary. Ability to understand business requirements and map them to enterprise data and process models. Research and design for data storage and archival architecture. Support data profiling and data quality initiatives along with the data delivery teams.”
Qualifications for the position include the following: “10+ years experience in data management in a large organization across multiple database platform. Proven data architecture and data modeling skills including: management of data requirements, data flow diagrams, and logical data modeling skills. Experience developing large data marts and data warehouses. Experience defining applicable data governance process from an architectural perspective. Strong communication skills required: Ability to interact with technical and non-technical users. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related IT technical certifications. Consulting experience preferred.”
