Farmers Insurance Group is looking for a Project Manager of Enterprise Data Management in Los Angeles, CA. According to the post, this position “Researches Information Management best practices and drafts data governance policies and principles to ensure we are maximizing our data and information. Obtains approvals for addition of and changes to policies and principles. Ensures efforts to retire legacy systems by ensuring requirements are included in new development efforts, and facilitate the transition of business and system users of legacy applications to new system.”
Further responsibilities include the following: “Ensures the continued identification and proliferation of enterprise terms and metrics across the organization by implementing the Farmers Enterprise Dictionary (FED) approved definitions, and by bringing consistency to enterprise wide metrics. Ensures metadata needs throughout the organization by reviewing meta data definitions for accuracy and completeness, and ensures that the enterprise metadata repository is connected to all metadata sources that add value to the organization. Socializes ABC policy and consults with project teams (usually IT) to facilitate implementation. Reviews business requirements, technical design documents and architecture documents for adherence to ABC policy.”
