CIGNA is searching for an Informatics Director of Data Governance and Usage in Hartford, CT. According to the post, “The Informatics unit will offer functional business areas consultative services that can help design and develop new ways to monitor and forecast emerging business performance, streamline and upgrade functional business processes, provide better and actionable information to our workforce through intuitive user apps, and oversee integrated data governance. Works with internal and external partners to deeply understand customer needs. Leverages market understanding to fashion functional business strategy, management processes, communication protocols, and services / tools that exceed market expectation. Directs analytical activities to demonstrate improvements in employer population health, productivity, and overall cost, extant trends and patterns of the domestic healthcare delivery system (including health care provider performance and clinical condition presentation and progression).”
Qualifications include the following: “Ability to manage, develop and build teams. Working knowledge of healthcare terminology with a solid understanding of the healthcare value chain and key stakeholder expectations / bias. Experience supporting BI initiatives for non-healthcare industries. Demonstrated experience working with technical and business personnel to create diverse business analytics applications. Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage several large scale projects. Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and Sprint development methodologies. Deep working knowledge of current data management tools & protocols. Demonstrated experience working independently with limited direction / guidance (i.e. start-up environment).”
