Data Job of the Day: Manager Data Warehouse/BI

Disney ABC is looking for a Manager Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence in New York, NY. The post states, “The Manager Data Warehouse/ Business Intelligence (DW/BI) will lead the overall design and development of quality data warehouse and business intelligence solutions for the Disney ABC Television Group (DATG). Manage the portfolio of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analysis solutions deployed within DATG.  Manage the portfolio of Data Warehouse (DW) solutions deployed within DATG. Lead the delivery of the following component layers: User Interface layer (Dashboard, Scheduled Reporting, Ad-hoc analysis and Discovery capabilities…). Semantic layer (data modeling, data dictionary…). Data Federation layer (accessing data from disperse data sources…). Integration layer (ETL,ELT).”

Qualifications for the position include: “Experience in delivering dashboards, Ad-hoc reporting and, information discovery capabilities. Strong data modeling skills in multiple methodology dimensional models (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design). Strong data analysis and data warehouse architecture skills (star/ snowflake schemas). Experience with structured and unstructured data. Experience with Business Intelligence solutions such as: SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIE). Experience developing reports with tools like Crystal Developer. Experience with SSIS and Informatica or another ETL/ ELT tool. Experience in developing data cleansing processes including validation, verification, formatting and de-duplication. Experience with a data warehouse appliance such as: Netezza, Endeca, Exadata, PDW, Terradata, etc.”
