Brocade Communications is looking for a Senior Enterprise Data Engineer in San Jose, CA. The post states, “Join a high energy professional environment in a company that impacts the flow of most of the world’s digital data. You will be the Operations technical owner for new product introductions that support world-class networking solutions. Through tight collaboration with Engineering, Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and Supply Chain, you will ensure that new product introduction builds happen smoothly. This includes design and test validation, identifying root cause of manufacturing process/test related problems and driving issues to closure, DFM, DFA, cost avoidance and managing local and offshore suppliers.”
Responsibilities of the position include the following: “Interacts with business users, IT and third-party suppliers to design, develop, deploy and support our data systems. This includes real-time analytic services, data warehouse, data visualization, and metadata as well as reporting capabilities (canned and ad hoc) to support various business and technical decision making. Responsible for leading a small team and working with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to understand, augment, and implement the systems, processes, tools, that are used in our supply chain. Analyze Brocade’s manufacturing, supplier network, and CM performance in relation to NPI metrics. Enable data harmonization to ensure data is flowing back and forth and informing the actions of various internal and external groups including Operations, Quality, Engineering and outside Contract Manufacturers.”
