Capital One is searching for a Senior Director, Commercial Banking Data Governance in New York, NY. According to the post, “The bank is in the process of standing up a new underwriting platform and consolidating a number of loan accounting systems. In addition, he bank is currently executing a strategy to use data driven analysis to inform business decisions and drive towards maximizing risk adjusted profitability. To this end it is developing a data governance function, the mission of which is to improve data quality. This is currently led by a Data Quality Executive of the bank who is looking for a right hand person to act as the day to day liaison with the Line of Business (LOB) and IT. The candidate would be supported with at least one additional hire.”
Qualifications for the position include the following: “5-7 years of experience in commercial banking/lending. 7-10 years of experience in commercial banking/lending. Very strong communication skills. Very strong influencing skills. Very strong understanding of commercial credit data. Very strong understanding of commercial IT infrastructure. Organized and results driven approach to work.”
