CIT Group is looking for a Vice President of Data Governance Technical Support in Livingston, NJ. This position is responsible for the following: “Lead the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of a suite of IBM InfoSphere tools in support of the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) function within EDMP. Manage the Information Analyzer (IA) tool for data profiling and monitoring. Collaborate with EDG in defining new business rules and tuning existing rules. Implement production schedules for periodic monitoring. Support data quality reporting efforts with the EDG team. Manage the Business Glossary (BG) tool used to control the lifecycle of standardized enterprise data definitions and business terms. With the EDG team, define various user roles and rights to the glossary.”
Qualifications for the position include: “A proven track record in implementation of enteprise-level data governance tools and processes. Experience with IBM Information Analyzer, Business Glossary and Metadata Workbench. Enthusiasm for problem solving, attention to detail and data quality. Demonstrable exposure to the design and development of data warehouse/data marts. Understanding of best practices in meta-data management, data profiling/monitoring and data dictionaries. Ability to motivate and manage solution development teams. Ability to work effectively with business users to fully understand, document and deploy EDG solutions.”
