Data Job of the Day: VP Enterprise Data Warehouse & BI

Gap Inc. is looking for a Vice President of Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence in San Bruno, CA: “The VP Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) & Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible for the Gap Inc. Enterprise Data Warehouse, made up of Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Outlet, Gap Inc. Direct, Sourcing and Logistics. The role owns the end-to-end EDW/BI strategy, development, implementation and continuous innovation of the strategic and tactical information management function for the company. Partners with CIO, VP Inventory Management/Enterprise Information and leads EDW/Business Intelligence for the enterprise.  Strategically partners and collaborates with Executive Sponsor (Gap Inc CFO) as well as Senior Leadership across all Brands and Functions within Gap Inc. to ensure solutions and processes are prioritized and then implemented successfully, pragmatically and quickly.”

Responsibilities of the position include, “Leads and is accountable for managing EDW/Business Intelligence strategy, planning, deployment and support. Provides EDW/Business Intelligence technology vision, enables innovation and has an established track record of understanding IT trends in Business Intelligence and leading the creation of business value from those trends. In partnership with EDW Domain Architect, Oversees development of EDW/Business Intelligence enterprise standards and technology architecture and the governance process. Manages strategic EDW/Business Intelligence tool vendor and partner relationships. Collaborates on the development of the item master strategy and, in partnership with the EDW domain architect, drives the integration of the strategy with the EDW. Leads the formulation of the company’s EDW/Business Intelligence enterprise architecture and business system plans; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the business.”
