According to a new press release, “Denodo, the leader in data virtualization, today announced that Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has tested and validated the Denodo Platform for integration with HPE Vertica, the industry’s most advanced SQL database analytics platform. The integration of Denodo’s platform will enable customers to integrate HPE Vertica with the Denodo Platform as either a data source or a high-performance cache, with maximum interoperability and performance. Additionally, customers will be able to build a logical data warehouse architecture, which was identified by Gartner as a best practice.”

The release continues, “HPE Vertica is built from the first line of code to address the most demanding big data analytics initiatives and offers interactive, blazing-fast analytics. Leveraging the Denodo Platform, customers can seamlessly integrate data with HPE Vertica from other sources. Denodo also offers advanced capabilities for integrating with Hadoop, web, cloud, and SaaS sources, to expand the reach of analytics in HPE Vertica.”

It goes on, “The Denodo Platform enables HPE Vertica users to extend their analytics to other data stores with very high performance. The platform’s Dynamic Query Optimizer applies a cost model that supports HPE´s columnar-based approach and applies push-down optimization techniques, which delegate query processing directly to HPE Vertica, for significant performance enhancements. HPE Vertica can also be used as a high-performance cache in the Denodo Platform, improving performance for frequently accessed reports.”
