FileTek reports that the company has launched a new cost-to-value data modeling tool called the Value Realization Modeler. According to the article, “The modeler – available with associated professional services – validates the annual cost savings achieved by implementing a new generation storage approach that intelligently blends existing SSD, RAID, SAN, disk, and tape-based storage to deliver a cost-performance optimized storage environment. The CFO-quality Value Realization Modeler focuses on ‘hard dollar’ justification and future cost avoidance over a 3-year deployment window of budgetary line items such as new hardware acquisitions, software license fees, on-going maintenance expenses, personnel savings, and environmental/facility overhead.
It continues, “Moreover, it delivers easy-to-interpret results in a measurable format that includes net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), profitability index, payback (in months) and return on investment (ROI). As part of this new offering, FileTek will provide the tools and expertise needed to deliver a detailed report on the quantifiable benefits of the alternative and proven Big Data storage management approach enabled by the company’s StorHouse software platform.”
