There is so much to look forward to in June! We have a great lineup of webinars coming your way, some new bloggers joining the DATAVERSITY community we think you’ll really enjoy, and of course we will round out the month with the Data Governance and Information Quality 2012 Conference in San Diego, California.
We kick off the month with a data governance webinar on June 7th:
- Data Governance in a Federated Organization – A Case Study of World Vision International. “…The case study will explore how to shift focus to adding value quickly and embedding governance into business teams and governing data within a culture of federated authority.”
This webinar is followed by a multitude of amazing webinars in the lineup including webinars brought to you by Phasic Systems Inc and 10gen / MongoDB. The lineup of course includes continuations in our webinar series:
- Data-Ed Online with Dr. Peter Aiken is focused this month on MDM and Data Quality.
- Real-World Data Governance with Bob Seiner is covering how to set business expectations.
- And the newest in our series, Big Challenges in Data Modeling a panel discussion moderated by Graeme Simsion, is covering the topic of Big Data.
Sunil Soares, Director of Information Governance at IBM, kicks off his first blog with DATAVERSITY: Not Your Type? Big Data Matchmaker On Five Data Types You Need To Explore Today. I really think you’re going to enjoy his blogs on Data Governance. We have more video blogs coming to you from David Loshin. We’re very excited about this format as each video is just a few minutes – just enough time to provoke you into some serious thought on the subject. We’re very proud of all our bloggers and their in-depth knowledge, and I am so excited that the community is really getting engaged with them by leaving comments on their blogs. Keep the comments coming!
We then round out the month in San Diego at DGIQ. If you look at the keynotes and the featured speakers, you’ll see a few familiar faces. Many of the DATAVERSITY contributors will be speaking at this great event.
I hope to see you at one or many of these great events we have going or in the comments section of blogs and articles!
Regards,
Shannon Kempe
