Kapow Software has partnered with Informatica to provide Big Data solutions.

According to the companies, “The partnership introduces Informatica PowerExchange for Kapow Katalyst which will be made available as part of Informatica 9.5 announced at the Informatica World 2012 user conference this week. Informatica PowerExchange for Kapow Katalyst harnesses the power of web, cloud applications and social media, and enables IT to quickly access and extract relevant information from the long tail of disparate data sources.”

The article continues, “By including these often inaccessible data sets into the analytics mix, Informatica customers are now poised to benefit from valuable insight about their business, product, customers, competitors, market trends, and financial predictors — creating endless possibilities for innovation, business agility and increased profitability.”

Stefan Andreasen of Kapow Software stated, “Enterprises are quickly realizing the value of external data sources and the meaningful impact this type of information can have on their decision-making process and overall market position… Big Data is not just about internal data, and our partnership with Informatica addresses the needs in the marketplace to leverage the gold mine of information outside the firewall for strategic gains.”
