MapR Continues Expansion of Free Hadoop On-Demand Training

A recent article out of the company reports, “MapR Technologies, Inc., provider of the top-ranked distribution for Apache™ Hadoop®, today announced availability of a complete Apache HBase design and development curriculum on its free Hadoop On-Demand Training program. These courses can lead to HBase certification, allowing developers to deploy complex operational applications on a Hadoop data platform. ‘Demand for our free Hadoop training program continues to grow as we build and expand certification programs designed for data professionals to quickly learn and master,’ said Dave Jespersen, vice president, worldwide services, MapR Technologies. ‘HBase certification is a highly-valuable credential for developers, especially as interest grows in Hadoop and the NoSQL development model’.”

The article continues, “The complete HBase curriculum permits data architects and Java developers to learn the HBase data model and architecture, explore HBase schema design and run a series of developer labs in order to gain HBase development competency. This curriculum, along with the lab exercises, provides developers with thorough and complete preparation for the MapR Certified HBase Developer (MCHBD) certification exam. Courses in the HBase series include: DEV 320 – HBase Data Model and Architecture; DEV 325 – HBase Schema Design; DEV 330 – Developing HBase Applications: Basics; DEV 335 – Developing HBase Applications: Advanced.”
