Layered Technologies is seeking a Director of Product Engineering with NoSQL experience in Kansas City, Missouri. It has top-tier data centers around the world and 8,000 servers under management… [The] Director of Product Engineering will lead the engineering effort and team responsible for delivering Cloud Computing and dedicated hosting services to market. This person will be a technical thought leader within the organization and assist in presenting.”
Requirements of the positions include: “Expert level understanding of virtualization and infrastructure management technologies. Expert level understanding of storage (SAN & NAS) and compute technologies. Strong knowledge of networking and security technologies. Strong understanding of web application architectures and technologies. Strong understanding of database technologies including SQL, NoSQL and Big Data. People management experience. Ability to effectively communicate / present advance technologies to both technical and business audiences. Strong written / verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with all departments on to bring new service and product to market.”
