NoSQL Job of the Day: Director of Software Engineering

Spyglass Partners is looking for a Director of Software Engineering in Watertown, MA. The post states, “This position is responsible for leading the company’s engineering efforts for key online, web-based e-commerce industry, platforms and internal systems. This is a hands-on leadership role which will have a direct impact on the bottom line.”

Qualifications for the position include the following: “24×7 Web Application Development experience. Hands-on Code Review experience (will not need to develop code). Java Technology Stack knowledge. Experience managing at least 10-15 developers as this position will have 30 direct reports. Successful track record of implementing large-scale internet apps (Min. 3+ years exp.) 7+ years of total product development experience. Fluent in SOLID OO programming and common web software design patterns such as MVC. Deep knowledge of Linux. Experience with Tomcat, Java, Servlets, JSP and MySql/NoSql technologies. Experience with AJAX, JavaScript and JQuery. Experience with Hibernate (or similar ORM). Experience with PHP is a plus.”
