Cerner is looking for a Director of Quantitative Modeling in Kansas City, MO. Qualifications for the Director position include: “Master’s degree in related field. Strong programming skill in multiple languages, comfortable learning new ones quickly (ideally C#, C++, R, MATLAB, etc). Experience with MapReduce programming (Hadoop). Familiarity with NoSQL databases (hBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Couch DB, Riak) and unstructured data. Familiarity with Pig, Avro. Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence systems, cluster and grid computing. Ability to communicate proactively in a small team environment. Hard-working, fast and autonomous learner. With a brief outline and general direction in mind, can rapidly prototype, measure, and iterate.”
