Hortonworks is searching for a Senior Software Engineer with expert HBase experience in Sunnyvale, CA. Qualifications for the position include: “Solid experience with system software design and development with strong understanding of distributed & large scale systems. Hands on programmer, strong in data structures and programming practices (strong concurrent programming skills, and, able to think “at scale”). Experience building systems with the characteristics of low/predictable-latency serving. Java experience. Proven experience in debugging large scale distributed systems. Experience with Hadoop in a developer/user role. Experience with the NoSQL technologies, including HBase, in a developer/user role. Experience as Open Source contributor very desirable (include pointers to those please).”
