EA Sports is on the lookout for an Online Development Manager in Redwood City, CA. According to the post, “The ODM would partner with business owners to understand and drive business requirements; gather metrics, challenge and set standards & guidelines, understand data and work flow, think strategically, and to define & direct the development process. The ODM will own the development process for implementing the plans required by their business partners. They will work with their business partners, external teams and internal resources to plan both in a logistically efficient and a technically viable manner the projects required.”
Qualifications include: “The ODM must be able to understand any and (ideally) perform many of the tasks performed by partner developers and support teams. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent training and professional experience. Extensive hands-on experience developing across all tiers of web development (presentation layer, middle-tier, and database development). Excellent online development knowledge and insight into developing trends in new online technologies (e.g. cloud development, telemetry, NoSQL). Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices.”
