CITYGRID Media is looking for a Director of Principal Engineers in West Hollywood, CA. The post states, “The local advertising market is just plain tough. Small businesses still struggle to see value in online advertising, local sales organizations struggle to make profits and many industry partnerships are not equitable. We know it’s hard. So we built something different, something better. We are looking for the top 1% of Principal Engineers with a passion for working with highly technical stacks and the latest web services technologies, and who want to be part of the building the next generation of local services.”
The post continues, “Our principal engineers will excel at Java and Python; Logic, Math and Algorithms; Object Oriented Design/Architecture for Big Data; Unix pipes and Bash scripting; Hadoop & Pig; SQL / noSQL. Our principal engineers will have a better than average command of Spring and other frameworks; Scripting languages; Oracle / noOracle; Lucene / Solr; Cloudera. Our principal engineers will have been published; earned their Master’s or Ph.D’s from a top university; been contributors to major open source projects; proven their ability to lead; proven their ability to think big.”
