RiverPoint Group is searching for a Senior Data Architect for a six-month assignment in Chicago, IL. The company is looking for a candidate to “contribute to the delivery of an analytics solution providing metrics related to Content System. This very hands-on individual will work as part of an Agile team comprised of data architects, developers, product owners, testers, and others to design and implement data warehouse models and associated metadata, design and implement ETL solutions to populate the data warehouse, design and implement reports and other BI solutions, and participate in sustainment and support activities. This team is charged with growing the analytics solution beyond the bounds of traditional data warehousing by using MapReduce and other Big Data tools and techniques to compute measures in an Hadoop cluster and by identifying BI tools that can interface directly with Hbase and other NoSQL databases.”
Responsibilities of the position include, “Design data models and aggregation strategies (Kimball Methodology) to meet analytic requirements. Create proof-of-concept data sets and reports to demonstrate the correctness and scalability of the model. Engage stakeholders in reviews and demos to review and refine data models and proofs-of-concept. Write production-ready scripts to implement the data model and apply changes in DEV databases. Design a data integration strategy to interact with source systems to populate the data warehouse. Develop highly-performing and scalable ETL jobs to implement the data integration strategy.”
