Covestic is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Kirkland, WA. According to the post, “The Senior Data Engineer will design and implement a data management solution for high volume mobile data applications using NoSQL-based solutions such as Hadoop, CouchDB, MongoDB, etc. The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders to define meaningful business metrics and build data sets that provide this data reliably and accurately.”
Responsibilities of the position include the following: “Develop document-based data schemas and interfaces. Develop map-reduce functions to process mobile application data. Develop data integration functions for ETL, index processing, and data feeds. Work closely with business users to define requirements and data analytics. Design and develop reporting solutions based on Big Data infrastructure.”
