Talking Points Memo is looking for a Senior Developer in New York, NY. According to the post, “TPM is looking for a Ruby developer who’s interested in moving to a more senior position in a small development team and is eager to work on a fast-growing and fast moving site in the lead up to Election 2012. The baseline candidate has 2-3 years of development experience, Ruby fluency and is comfortable working with Git.”
It continues, “Our ideal candidate would also have some familiarity with non-Rails Ruby frameworks (Sinatra, Padrino, etc.), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.), front-end JavaScript tools (jQuery, Backbone, Processing, etc.), and *nix server administration (Apache, Nginx, etc.). The primary responsibility of the employee would be working with the director of technology to plan and execute the creation and maintenance of web-applications at TPM. He/she would need to work in concert with our team of developers, occasionally providing guidance to more junior members of the staff.”
