Spirent Communications is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager in Sunnyvale, CA. According to the post, “The Senior Manager – Engineering will lead several global engineering teams in the development of five different products in a rapidly growing market segment. The majority of these products are focused on the optimization and automation of the network and computing infrastructure testing process. Key technologies in use are: Java, Eclipse RCP, Python, jQuery, relational and NoSQL datastores such as Postgres and MongoDB. Development teams use a variety of workstyles ranging from agile with continuous integration to more conventional waterfall based on the maturity of the product in question, technologies in use, and market expectations.”
It continues, “A successful candidate for this position will be expected to develop and coordinate a leadership team, build and maintain operational engineering delivery and support processes, help develop product strategy, and provide direction and vision for the development of new and enhanced architectures. An ability to create an environment where subordinate managers can lead their teams to deliver software in a timely manner, with high levels of quality is mandatory. Strong leadership and delivery management capability with continuous integration experience is also key. Additionally, an applicant should be able to develop and deliver executive-level communication effectively as well as communicating vision & strategy to team members in a clear, understandable way.”
