SPADAC, a part of GeoEye Analytics, is looking for a Senior Geospatial Software Developer with NoSQL skills in Fort Meade, MD. This position will “Serve as the cloud development technical lead on a small team. Responsibilities include assisting in the migrations of an existing analytical toolset from a standard Oracle database model to a cloud architecture. Long term focus will be on the development of new temporal and spatial analytics applied to large data sets in a cloud architecture. User interfaces will be designed and developed to present and visualize the results of the analytical outputs.”
Qualifications include the following: “Solid understanding of Hadoop and MapReduce preferred. Experience developing in Java and with python preferred. Experience with NoSQL database design and use preferred. Experience with spatial geometry algorithms and implementing spatial and temporal analytics preferred. Experience leading a small team of developers and proven experience providing technical vision desired.”
