PayPal is looking for a Senior Manager, Event Analytics in San Jose, CA. According to the post, “The Senior Manager, Event Analytics Platform will be responsible for leading the vision and defining the requirements for a next-generation platform that will allow analysts and business users across PayPal to interpret tracking and event data. The ideal candidate will have spent significant time around web/tracking analytics and analytics infrastructures and will have a strong understanding of how businesses leverage these capabilities to gain deep insight into customer behavior. Previous experience with product management for enterprise solutions is highly desirable, as this position requires an individual with strong business acumen and experience translating enterprise needs into a product vision.”
Qualifications include: “Must have 10+ years of experience in high tech roles with autonomous responsibility for defining a vision and feature requirements for a technical solution. At least 3 years experience working in web or marketing teams that supported or performed data analysis on clickstream and other event-based data. A proven track record of working closely with business and development teams to deliver successful projects. Familiarity and experience around unstructured, big data analytics platform highly desired. 7+ years of experience with large-scale data processing, analytics, and business intelligence. Experience with NoSQL databases (Hadoop, Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB) and MapReduce. 2 years of experience with Big Data Analytics using Hadoop and Map Reduce technologies.”
