According to the post, “We are seeking a very analytical, senior LAMP developer who can handle the challenge of building the difficult in a day and the impossible in a week. This person also should have a very strong, hands on background designing and building cutting edge recommendation algorithms. A PHP persona who can architect solutions utilizing cutting edge technologies like Lucene or MongoDB, and then be able to integrate them into standard scenarios. We are a small team of hard core developers looking for committed peers with positive energy and refreshing ideas.”
Qualifications for this position include: “A minimum of 4 years of hands-on web application development. Experience implementing recommendation algorithms into web based systems. Clear understanding of Object Orient Programming including Design Patterns. Experience with other OOP languages like Java or C/C++ a huge plus. Clear understanding of the difference between NoSQL and RDBMS (and the benefits). Knowledge of XHTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS are required Solr/Lucene experience. NoSQL datastores experience (Hadoop, MongoDB, Casandra).”
