Sotera Defense Solutions is looking for a Senior Programmer in Silverdale, WA. According to the post, the company is seeking “a research oriented software developer / data scientist for a position in Silverdale, WA. Qualified candidates will have strong knowledge in an object oriented programming language and will proactively build out NOSQL cloud-based analytic prototypes and corresponding visualizations. Creativity and willingness to learn is a must in this position as languages and platforms often change rapidly. Position will experience a lot of variety through the build-out of many prototype frameworks for evaluation. Environment is highly collaborative and priorities may change frequently.”
Qualifications for the position include the following: ” The ability to obtain a DOD Clearance. Full-time on site in Silverdale. Full proficiency in either C# or Java. 5+ years minimum, 10 years preferred. 2+ years SQL, against any database. Experience with NOSQL technologies. Graph theory / AI / OLAP / or statistics background. Bachelors in CS / Comp E / EE or related field. Ability to work independently on small-mid size open-ended programming tasks. Unit testing and scrum agile development. Understand basics of cloud computing, map / reduce, distributed processing, HDFS, columnar data stores. Must possess strong communication and leadership skills. Must have a passion for new technologies and willingness to learn. Basic knowledge of both Linux / Windows. Experience with Spring or other equivalent frameworks.”
