Placester, Inc. is looking for a Senior Rails Engineer in either Boston, MA, or San Francisco, CA. According to the post, the real estate marketing company is “looking for engineers that work well in a collaborative environment and bring at least 2 years of experience working with Ruby on Rails (lots of experience with Ruby itself is definitely a bonus), as well as 3 years of software development experience (multiple languages is a plus). You have at least 2 years of experience with a MongoDB (or other ‘NoSQL’) and / or RDMS experience is cool. An active Github (or similar) and Stack Overflow profiles are a bonus. We prefer people located in either the Boston or San Francisco areas, but telecommuting is fine.”
The post continues, “You are able to quickly pick up new technologies. You can own a feature from start to deploy without having to be lead throughout the process. You’re able to balance the need to write high quality code, with actually getting features out the door, – ‘cutting corners’ is something you used to do, but it’s no longer in your DNA.”
